Jaimie Gunderson wins 2015 Graduate Student Essay Prize

SMFS is pleased to announce that the 2015 Graduate Student Essay Prize has been won by Jaimie Gunderson (University of Texas at Austin) for her essay entitled: ‘The Space Between a Wound and a Scar: The Negotiation of Heroic Identity in Gregory of Nyssa’s Life of Macrina’. The judges were unanimous in their selection of this essay for the award, in spite of some very strong competition – so, many congratulations to Jaimie!. The essay will be published in a forthcoming edition of Medieval Feminist Forum and Jaimie will be honoured at the 2016 SMFS reception and banquet at Kalamazoo in May.
