From November 15th-22nd, SMFS will be conducting elections for its governance structure. We are now seeking candidates for 8 positions:
Vice President, 2 year term, cycles in as 2 year president (elected from current or recent Advisory Board members)
5 faculty slots on the Advisory Board, 3 year term
2 graduate student representatives, 3 year term
Self-nominations are welcome and should be accompanied by a brief biographical statement that lists your name and institution, describes your research and its intersection with questions of gender and/or sexuality, and comments on how you envision your contribution to the Ad Board (max 150 words, use 3rd person).
Nominations are also *very* welcome (as the slate is large this year) and should be accompanied with contact information for the nominee so that we can send direct invitations to apply. Please note that the candidates for vice president must have served or be serving on the Advisory Board.
